    Why do I need to service my movable wall or sliding folding door partition?

    A movable wall consists of heavy panels with complex mechanical internal structures.

    As a building manager / owner, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regs 1998 and the Management of Health & Safety Work Regulations 1999 place a legal obligation on you to ensure that such building equipment is regularly inspected and maintained, so that it can be operated safely and correctly by your personnel.

    What type of service do I need?

    It will all depend on the number of partitions in question, their respective heights and widths and general condition.

    We have created 3 levels of service contract to help you decide based on your requirements. Please contact our Sales team if you need help choosing.


    Our standard package ensures that the required inspections, checks and adjustments are carried out to comply with Health and Safety law and regulations.


    For those systems with heavy usage, the Deluxe Package includes all standard checks and inspections and also minor repairs and operator training.


    For those systems that are jaded or dated it is recommended that the Premium Package be chosen. A site survey will be required prior to a quotation being supplied for this work.

    Can we service all types of wall systems?

    Yes! Our excellent engineers are trained to work on all types, makes and models of movable walls, sliding folding doors, concertina partitions and vinyl concertina partitions.

    We are the only movable wall servicing company that are accredited to work on Alco Systems (previously Alco Beldan) and Brockhouse movable walls or sliding door partitions - because we manufactured them!

    We currently have contracts in place that service the following manufacturers movable walls or sliding doors:

    The facing boards on my movable wall are damaged. Can they be repaired?

    Our NU Fronts solution sees your existing panel facing board being replaced with a brand new one. You can choose from a range of melamine finishes or upgrade to any design or pattern you like.

    This could include a photo or picture printed onto your system, a dry wipe marker board finish, perfect for schools or nurseries, or a natural wood veneer which will give you a premium decorative finish.

    No structural work is needed as we utilise your existing tracks and panel frames.

    Lead time: Usually within 2 weeks of order!

    Can work be done out of hours?

    Our engineers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    All appointments are booked in advance, so we will never turn up unannounced!

    Do you cover the whole of the UK?

    Do we offer a 24 hour emergency service?

    Do we offer an emergency 6 hour service at standard rates to Hotels in London?

    Yes. If you're a hotel chain located in London, the first 6 hours of your emergency call out will be charged at standard rates.

    I have lost my operating handle. Can you provide me with a spare?

    Do you guarantee your work? Can I get extended warranty?

    Yes. All service or repair work undertaken comes with a 1 year guarantee on service parts and labour.

    For new or replacement systems, our British manufactured movable walls and components come with a 25 year guarantee and extended warranty if a yearly service agreement is undertaken.

    Are you health and safety compliant?

    We use an independent consultant to review our Health and Safety policy annually to ensure we conform to all the latest laws and legislations.

    We were the first movable wall service provider in the UK to have been awarded the SAFE Contractor certificate. We understand that our customers have a legal obligation to ensure that all external contractors and service providers are competent, and you can trust Accordial to operate in a safe and professional manner.

    We can supply you with a method statement for your Health and Safety records and our engineers will complete a dynamic risk assessment form, approved by the HSE, prior to any work being undertaken.

    All of our movable wall engineers are CRB checked, CSCS approved, PASMA trained and asbestos aware.
